Today's Unquestionable Truth.

Ancient civilizations believed it was necessary to sacrifice animals or people to ensure Gods would grant them the service they needed, for the sun to rise the next day, or rain for crops.

Of course we look back at those beliefs and laugh at their ignorance.
"How could they believe such dumb things?

But today's dumb ritual are yesterday's unquestionable truth.

Today the system that we believe in is Democracy, and at the core of Democracy is The Vote. However, while the voting process is recognized as on of the greatest things in America it is not a clear, understandable, and (most importantly) a visible process. We cast our vote and put our faith, our trust, and our future into this system.

I believe this will be looked back as:
"How could we believe such dumb things?"

Today our so called Democracy has been outsourced to three corporations that make up the
VOTING INDUSTRY.

(...Yup.
Yet another part of the Gov. that has been privatized.)

These corporations make millions of dollars rigging the vote process and committing a crime that steals our Democracy from us!

By fabricating machines that come with a built in program (designed to skew the votes of an election)

districts purchase these machines and essentially put them in as many places as possible to collect as many votes for themselves as possible. 

This little business scheme allows a government party to purchase machines that count votes for them!

Truth is What is Generally Believed.

How do we know a catastrophic event has occurred when we haven't been there to see it?

How do we know how a war started between two countries when we don't know their diplomacy?

The News networks.

That handsome face which has been designed to gain your trust, or seduce you into accepting their spoonfuls of bullshit and call it fact. 

The News that they release are not so much "News" as they are opinions. Through actual events that occur in the world politicians piggyback on the news networks to taylor the "news" to a political point of view that will benefit their interests.

The American news coverage of events in the Middle East are a WORLD of difference to that of the British news coverage. This not because the British news networks is honest and American news networks are not - it is because Britain has nothing to gain by lying to it's public, they have nothing to hide.

If it weren't for the internet we would still consider the news Truth, and this is exactly why you can rest assured that the corporations and politicians will never stop trying to control the internet.

2012: Thought Crime

       
          By now George Orwell's warnings of Big Brother have been so overplayed that they are hardly listened to. However, I could not help referring to Big Brother for Richard's story because it defines "Thought Crime".

          In Orwell's book, 1984, "Thought Crime" is the accusation of the ALLEGED attempts to commit a crime against the government. Thought Crime was a serious enough offense to be detained for unspecified amount of time, during which the "criminal" would undergo correction.

          Most people see 1984 as just a book that depicts a horrible alternate future. To me, 1984 is a hyperbole of a prophecy that has come true. It's truth is stated in the SILENCE of the news networks of our country.

Here is one of the many proofs. Again, it's not just about what happened it about America's news networks being SILENT while Britain's news are exploding.

Why Veritas Contendo?

          This blog will make you uncomfortable. It will attempt to wake you from the blissful slumber of the masses, and make you question what you thought you knew.

          Panem et Circenses is latin for Bread and Entertainment, a Roman concept for how to gain public approval without actually providing exemplary leadership. Through this technique the leaders of the Roman empire could do whatever they wanted without fear of the public discovering their crooked schemes. That technique lives on.

          Every month of every year there is at least 1 (almost) mandatory celebration. Valentines day, April Fool's, Saint Patrick's day, Mother's day, Father's day, President's Day, Independence's day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc, etc. (just to name a few)

          This is Panem it Circenses at work, keeping you busy, keeping you happily preoccupied so that there is no room left in you brain to process the truly important things.

          But I want to change that. Hence the name Veritas Contendo, which is latin for Truth Struggle - what it will take to keep people informed. This blog will be constantly updated with whatever new information I find and I urge you to discover it with me. It will make you question even the tiniest of rituals.
